Configuring Windows Messaging for Multiple Mailboxes
- Click on Start
-> Settings -> Control Panel
- Double click the
Mail icon.

- Click
Add.
- Under
Use the Following Information Services,
- select
only Internet Mail. Click Next.
-
Select Modem for connection method.
- Click
Next. Select Internet Chicago for your service provider.
- Click
Next. Click on Specify the name for your mail server. Enter mail.icsp.net,
or mail.yourdomain.com if you have that service with us. Click
Offline. Click Next.
- Under
E-mail address, type username@internetchicago.com, or username@yourdomain.com.
- Enter
your name and click Next.
- Under
Mailbox name, enter your username.
- Under
Password, enter your Internet Chicago password. Click Next.
- Personal
Address Book. This is the name of the file that will keep all
address book information. If you want to have separate address
books, replace the mailbox.pab portion with username.pab, where
username is your Internet Chicago username. If you want to share
one address book, leave this as mailbox.pab. Click Next.
- Personal
Folders. This is the name of the file that stores all sent and
received mail. Replace the mailbox.pst portion with username.pst
as above. Click Finish.

- You
can also password protect your mail folders. To do this, click
on the name of your profile and click Properties. Click on Personal
Folders and click Properties again.
- Click
on Change Password.

Type the password you want in the New Password and Verify Password
boxes and click O.K. Click O.K. two more times to finish.

NOTE:
This password can be whatever you like, but it is recommended you
use the same password as your Internet Chicago password to avoid
confusion.
- To
add a more user profiles click the Add button and repeat the steps
above. To delete a profile, click on the profile name and click
Remove.

Click Close when finished.
- Double
click the Inbox icon to start Windows Messaging.
- Select
which profile to use and click O.K.*
-
If your folders are password protected, type your password and
click O.K.

*If
you have multiple profiles, but aren't given a window to choose
which one to use, follow these steps:
- In
Windows Messaging, click on Tools -> Options.
- Under
When starting Windows Messaging, select Prompt for a profile to
be used. Click O.K.
- Restart
Windows Messaging. The choose Profile window should appear.
Adding
and Removing Profiles
- Click on Start
-> Settings -> Control Panel

- Double
click the Mail icon.
- Click
the Show Profiles button.
- To
add a new profile, click the Add button and follow the instructions
above.
- To
remove a profile, click on the selection you want to remove. Then
click the Remove button.
- Click
Close when finished.
